Description
Mount Bromo (Indonesian: Gunung Bromo) is an active volcano and part of the Tengger massif, in East Java, Indonesia. Baluran National Park is a forest preservation area for about 25.000 ha on the north coast of East Java. The location is in Sumberwaru village, Banyuwangi district, Situbondo (on the east border of Java Island) where you can enjoy the panorama of savannah and mount Baluran (inactive volcano) and also becomes habitat of many exotic animals such as wild pigs, deer, peacocks, wild chicken, some species of monkeys and also bulls as the protected animals in the area.
Travel Itinerary
D1 Arrival Surabaya - Bromo Area (D)
Upon arrival at Surabaya airport, meeting service and then direct transfer to Bromo (about 3,5 hours). En route passing Mud Volcano at Sidoarjo which destroyed thousands of houses, terraced rice and sugar cane fields. Then check in to hotel for overnight. Dinner will be provided at hotel
D2 Mt Bromo Sunrise & Penanjakan Peak Tour - Baluran National Park (BLD)
Very early morning, start Mt. Bromo tour. The tour is conducted through a transfer to Cemmorolawang village, and descending the steep slope of Mt. Tengger, crossing the sea-of-sand, and climbing up 245 steps to reach the awesome rim crater where like other tourists wait for the sunrise cracking up the day through its rays from the eastern range of Mt. Tengger. From here a marvelous views of Mt. Bromo and its surrounding can be seen (subject to the weather). After enjoying the sunrise back to the hotel to have breakfast. Next proceed transfer to Baluran National Park with lunch en-route. Once we arrive at Baluran National Park, check-in hotel and start Savanna Dusk Safari, which is a “soft-core” excursion that brings you a unique thrill of close encounters with wildlife at dark that you only see at a distance of several hundred meters during day-light hours. Then back to hotel for overnight.
Dinner will be provided at hotel.
D3 Bird Watching Safari - Transfer to Ketapang Ferry Terminal or Surabaya (BL)
Early morning at 04.00 we'll wake you up and direct transfer to birdwatching station at the evergreen forest (breakfast served on box). It is a World class Attraction to observe the Green Peafowl (Pavo Muticus), the mystical bird of the Hindu Religion and we also will see Banded Pitta, Black naped Oriole, Ruddy Cuckoo-dove, Green Imperial Pigeon, Emerald Dove, Black-naped Monarch, Racked-tailed Treepe, Large-tailed Nightjar and various woodpeckers are all present in this area, including the rarely seen Red Junglefowl. Until midday at 11.00 we drive back to hotel, re-packing and check-out. Then proceed transfer to Ketapang ferry terminal or back to Surabaya.
Lunch will be provided at local restaurant.
